- Background check — no major fair-trading or VCAT decisions in 5 years

Yes. 100%. The matched painter pays Services Victoria a monthly subscription, not a per-job cut. Your quote is the same as you'd get from them direct.
How does this compare to Airtasker or Hipages?
The big directories make money taking a cut of every job, so their incentive is volume not quality. Anyone with an ABN can list. We charge painters a flat monthly fee instead — which means we say no to 60% of applications + can keep quality high.
What if I'm not happy with the matched painter?
Tell us. We re-match free, same day where possible. The painter that flaked gets a strike on their platform record. Three strikes = removal.
How fast is the match?
Within the hour during business hours (Mon–Sat 8am–5pm). After hours: usually before 9am the next business day.
Do I get to choose the painter?
The system picks the best fit by default — highest rating, fastest typical callback, closest physical proximity. If you want a specific painter on the platform, name them in the form and we route the job to them directly.
